There was a fabulous turnout for the Indoor Gala Day held on December 29th at KBC. Twenty-four triples entered the open competition, drawn into two divisions. Each team played four games of seven ends, with the winners and runners-up of each division playing in the finals.

Congratulations to the winners for picking up the first Wade Trophy, sponsored by Sam & Val Wade, long-time KBC members who also travelled down from Scotland where they now live, to play in the competition and present the trophy.
Also thanks to Matt Desmond, for organising and bringing the popular Outdoor Hunter Tredwell format indoors and to everyone who provided the necessary support, including Sam, behind the bar, Martin, our caterer and anyone else who was involved on the day.”

A great day, well organised by Matt, good food from Martin and Sam behind the bar kept us well watered. Just as importantly it was played in great spirit. As a family, we have had some great times at Kingsthorpe BC since we joined in 1971 so we were delighted to donate the trophy and hope it will become an annual event.

Open to All Bowlers (Male & Female)
Entry £60 per Team
- 1st place – £360
- 2nd place – £240
- 3rd place – £120
- 4th place – £60
Closing Date Friday 15th November
Price includes:
- Bowls
- Sausage beans and chips for lunch
- Music throughout the day
- Roast pork dinner before Finals
- Evening raffle*
*Raffle tickets not included in the price
Non-playing guests can participate in the Roast Pork Dinner, at £7 per person, to be paid when paying for entry. This is non-refundable.
Format:
- Open Triples
- Teams drawn into two groups with each team playing a minimum of four games
- First game starts at 9:30 am
- Each Game 7 Ends
- Play every other hour
- The Winners and Runners Up from both groups play in the final at 5:30 pm
- Runners-up in both groups play for third and fourth place
- Scoring – 10 Points for a win Plus 1 point for every End won
