Saturday Inter-League
The Saturday Indoor Inter-League at Kingsthorpe Bowling Club has been running since 2009 and was introduced by KBC members to encourage teams from across the county to get together when the outdoor greens are closed. The League is open to all indoor bowlers and to those outdoor players who may not normally play bowls at all in the winter. It is also open to both men and women.
The league has undergone several changes since its inception with varying numbers of teams and numbers of games played but the format has remained constant. Cash prizes are awarded to the winners and runners-up.
2024-25 – New Sponsor!
The most significant change in the league for many years will see the introduction of a major sponsor for the 2024-25 season. Northants Testing, owned by KBC member Nick Murray and his partner, Shari Craddock, supply specialist Electrical & Compliance Testing services for businesses across the UK providing great customer service and a dedication to safety. They will be providing a trophy for Division 1 winners together with guaranteed prize money for winners and runners-up in both divisions.

- Div 1 – 18 Ends – Existing 6 Teams
- Div 2 – 16 Ends – 7 New Teams
- Guaranteed Prizes – Amounts as stated, conditional on 13 teams playing and all rink fees paid.
- Prizes for Winners and Runners-up in each division
- Winner & Runners Up in Div 2 Promoted
- Bottom Club in Div 1 demoted

Format & Rules
With the introduction of a new sponsor, a slightly revised format and increased prize monies, new rules will apply to ensure fairness to all teams. Principle changes will be for the registration of players.
Format
- 2 Rinks of 3 Woods
- Start 2.00 pm
- Div 1 18 Ends
- Div 2 16 Ends
- Only 1 shot counts on the first 2 ends
- Re-Spots on Dead Ends
- Rink win 2pts. Team win 2pts
Rules
- Home Team to complete the Rink Card and Signed by Both Skips
- Max 10 Players per Team – All players must be registered before the start of the season.
- Teams will not be allowed to play unregistered players
- All Games must be played either on the specified dates or rearranged ASAP. Prize Money offered is based on all games being completed and Rink Fees paid.
